2012 will be Karen’s sixth season as a JO coach with Race City Sports, having coached several different ages, mostly at the Gold level. For three years from 2009-2011 Karen was the Varsity Coach at LKN HS, each year setting new records for games won and the deepest run into the state tourney LKN has ever had (round of 8 her final year). Prior to Lake Norman, she served as Head Coach for Catawba Valley Community College (CVCC) where she took her team to Nationals and finished 8th in the nation. Karen is a Connecticut native where she spent six years as a head girl’s high school volleyball coach. She also served as a head boy’s high school volleyball coach for three years where her boys’ team finished as runners-up in the state championship. Karen attended Central Connecticut State University and Saint Joseph College playing Division I and III volleyball respectively. She also regularly coaches camps, clinics, recreation groups and provides individual training.
